Random snaps

Several towns seem to go in for community art but this mural in Port Townsend seems to have been ahead of the game 

This travelling fortune teller's booth was set up for another community arts even in PT. 

There's something rather sweet about this kind of Woodstock generation idealism. But the place was great and it was busy at 7.00am on a Sunday morning with New York Times readers, fishermen, and a grey-haired wire-haired dachshund owner, as it were.


Yes, I know it looks rather pathetic and that it lacks the finesse of other bigger, heavier tents but it did the job, sort of! Just as long as no rain comes along. Or bears.
